Dr. Tang joined Huazhi Biotech in August 2019, bringing more than 20 years of experience in crop (sunflower, canola, wheat, corn, sorghum, etc.) genetics, genomics and molecular breeding with an in-depth expertise in molecular marker development and trait discovery. Dr. Tang authored more than 40 patents and trade secrets, and 50 refereed research papers in these areas.

Prior to joining Huazhi Biotech, Dr. Tang worked as the Assistant Research Professor, Team Leader, R&D Manager, Senior Scientist and Senior R&D Manager in the? University of Georgia, Monsanto, Dow AgroSciences, Nuseed Americas and Advanta Seeds, respectively, from 2004 to 2019. Dr. Tang completed his postdoctoral training at the Oregon State University from 1999 to 2004, and earned his Ph.D. in Genetics from the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1999.
